This is very exciting! Jerico sounds lovely. We will have to visit there when we return to Colombia some day. It sounds like you made the right decision at the right time. Looking forward to reading about how you will process the coffee.
Oh my gosh!! This is a miracle. A fruit and coffee producing farm. And it looks gorgeous! Can't wait to see how this evolves for you! Congratulations!! When is the house warming? Haha I might have to make a trip down to help you celebrate!! I'm so happy and thrilled for you. This is really monumental after following you now for a while.
“Coffee plants love to grow on a hill.” That tells me that they do not like soggy soil, they thrive in well drained soil. A random thought occurred to me, is there much of a mosquito problem there?
exactly well draining soil! I am assuming plantains and bananas like it as well, as I have a ton of both! So many mosquitos, yesterday I walked throught the field, and came out with about 50 bites all over!! So yes, we have a ton.. tropical, humidity is their heaven I think!
