This is very exciting! Jerico sounds lovely. We will have to visit there when we return to Colombia some day. It sounds like you made the right decision at the right time. Looking forward to reading about how you will process the coffee.

“Coffee plants love to grow on a hill.” That tells me that they do not like soggy soil, they thrive in well drained soil. A random thought occurred to me, is there much of a mosquito problem there?

exactly well draining soil! I am assuming plantains and bananas like it as well, as I have a ton of both! So many mosquitos, yesterday I walked throught the field, and came out with about 50 bites all over!! So yes, we have a ton.. tropical, humidity is their heaven I think!
